Dr. Allegra Tedder grew up right here in Saugus. After completing her education and working out of state, Dr. Tedder moved back to the North Shore in early December 2021. She joined our SAH team in January 2022. She started her career in veterinary medicine 10 years ago at the MSPCA in Boston as a volunteer veterinary technician assistant. She then worked as a veterinary technician at a local general practice in Boston for a few years before attending veterinary school. Dr. Tedder completed her undergraduate training at the University of New England in Maine and holds a Bachelor's degree in Marine Biology. She went on to complete her doctorate degree at Lincoln Memorial University College of Veterinary Medicine in Tennessee. After graduation, she completed a small animal medicine rotating internship at a specialty practice in Connecticut. Upon completion of her internship, she practiced as an emergency veterinarian and relief veterinarian in Connecticut before returning "home".
Outside of practicing veterinary medicine, Dr. Tedder likes to spend time with her fiancé and family. She shares her household with two cats, Scuttle and Vanellope. She is an avid Disney fan and visits Disney World as often as she can. Dr. Tedder is happy to be part of the SAH team and is excited to be practicing veterinary medicine in her hometown.
